HGeneral
Q: Does the SE-2000 have frame delay?
A: Yes, the SE-2000 has a single frame delay. It is approximately 17 milliseconds.
Q: Can I freeze the frame on an input and dissolve to a live input?
A: Yes, you can.
Q: Is the monitor included with the kit?
A: No, sorry.
Q: Will a relatively cheap 19” monitor ($200) work as the SE-2000 multi-view monitor?
A: Yes, as long as your monitor has a DVI input and supports the following resolutions: 1080i @ 60Hz or 720P @ 60Hz
Q: Can I use a VGA to DVI adapter to connect my laptop to the SE-2000?
A: The SE-2000 is a HD switcher, which requires all inputs to be digital. The DVI connector on the SE-2000 is a DVI-D type, which only accepts digital signals. If a VGA to DVI adapter is used, the signal is not converted to digital but is simply gender changed to a DVI-I (analog) signal type, which the switcher will not accept.
Q: Can I connect my camera to the SE-2000 via HDMI to DVI-D cable?
A: Yes, you can.
Audio
Q: Does the SE-2000 have embedded audio?
A: No, the SE-2000 does not have embedded audio.
Troubleshooting
Q: The SE-2000 is freezing when I switch from 720p to 1080i modes and vice versa with a DVI cable attached to one of the inputs. Is there a way to fix it?
A: You must disconnect the DVI inputs from the switcher before changing modes on the SE-2000.
Q: I can’t see the multi-view output from my SE-2000 on my monitor. I may have set it to a higher resolution than my monitor supports. How can I reset the monitor output on the SE-2000 to a lower resolution?
A: Here are the steps to reset the monitor output on the SE-2000 to a lower resolution:
• Step 1: power off your SE-2000.
• Step 2: power on your SE-2000.
• Step 3: press the menu button once.
• Step 4: press the down arrow button 6 times.
• Step 5: press the right arrow button once.
• Step 6: press the up arrow button once.
• Step 7: press the right arrow button once.
• Step 8: press the up arrow button once.
• Step 9: press the Enter button once. The switcher will reset the monitor output to a lower resolution and you will be able to see the multi-view output on your monitor.
